Smart Lighting

Smart lighting  – is the quickest way to start saving energy and money with instant results. Include smart switches, motion sensors, light sensors and you can achieve pretty seamless fully automated system.  Different tasks can be performed based on the time of the day or amount of ambient light. They can be based on combination of different factors automatically or manually with remote access.

Motion detection smart home sensors

Occupancy – whether you are just walking in hallway, sitting in the office or cooking in the kitchen, you should get right light conditions. Walk through area won’t need light for more than couple of minutes at the time.  On the other hand you might be working in your office without motion for longer time. When you go to bathroom at night you don’t need light turned on to 100%.  Dimmer set to 40% will give enough light.  All that needs to be considered when you plan to make your home automation smart.

Save energy

Save energy – upgrade your light bulbs to LED and use light only when needed. Smart lighting is part of home automation that helps to accomplish that. Here are some examples how smart lighting works.

  • Have light or group of lights to turn on and off based on motion.

  • Turn lights on and off based on amount of ambient light available and combine that with motion detection.

  • Lights tasks can be based on schedule (time, day, sunset, sunrise etc.).

  • Set up more complex tasks for special occasions.
